The
Wright Workout™ found me at just the right time! About a year before
I started the program I was diagnosed with PCOS and Insulin Resistance.
My Doctor explained to me how important it was to eat low-carb and
to exercise consistently. These two things alone were better than
any medicine out there and would keep me away from getting Diabetes
one day. If I chose not to eat healthy and/or exercise, that could
very likely be my future.
After talking with my Dr., I started
the Zone Diet and did very well and lost about 20 pounds. Exercise
has never been something I’ve enjoyed so if I could avoid it,
I would, and I did. Eventually, I started gaining what I had lost
back because of the lack of exercise, and was not feeling good about
myself. I started gaining weight, moving up to my old sizes and started
eating badly to make myself feel better. As we all know, this is
a vicious cycle.
When I met Renee and saw the power pole workout,
it looked like a fun workout. It was different, it looked challenging
yet not too difficult for someone like me that hadn’t stuck to a
workout program, ever! I am not an early riser and finding out
the testimonial program would begin at 9:45am was not the best
news for me. After the workout I would have to wash up and change
and then be at work until 7:00pm. This made for an extremely long
day for me. I hated working out before work, it meant I had to
get up earlier and I am one that loves my sleep. I’ve often
tried after-work workouts and like the research shows, you are
way more likely to stick with a program that is done in the morning.
Well, maybe for everyone else, but not for me.
I decided to try
it anyway, since it felt like Renee came knocking upon my door
at the time I needed her the most, how could I turn it down? After
starting the program, I found that I loved it. It was
addicting! I found Renee extremely motivating, the exercises challenging
yet not too hard where I felt that I could not go on, or felt exhausted
afterward. I was always more energetic and felt happier throughout
the day!
I remember the first time I made it through the entire
high-energy section - I was on such a high. I was working out 3
days a week, early in the morning, and never wanted to miss a class!
This was such a new feeling for me and it felt wonderful. I even
missed having class on the two days that we were off. Almost immediately
I could tell I was losing inches. My clothes started getting big
on me and pretty soon I was out buying the next size down - how
exciting. The program motivated me to start eating healthier again
and the pounds started coming off as well.
I cannot explain how
great I felt. Not only was I losing weight and inches, but I was
actually sticking to a program, getting up early in the morning
and loving it! The jeans you see in the picture I had just bought
before I started the workout. I remember being in the dressing
room, showing my husband them and him telling me that I could wear
them, but I could not gain an ounce or they would be too tight.
After my 8 week workout these same jeans were WAY too big to even
wear - they would fall off!
The best side effect of all, is that
after 8 weeks of working out, I found out that I am pregnant! A
side effect you wonder? Well my Dr. had told me that with the PCOS
and Insulin Resistance, it would probably be harder for me to get
pregnant. That’s
why it was so important to eat low-carb, exercise and lose weight.
She told me if I lost even 10 pounds I would have a much easier
time. She was so right!!! This workout got my body in shape for
the most important time in a woman’s life, how can I thank
Renee and the power pole program enough for that?
The great news
is I am continuing to do the program, in a modified version, and
hope to continue throughout the pregnancy. Once the baby is born,
I sure know where I am turning to lose that baby-weight - Renee
and this program. Its totally changed my life!!
